Whole Foods, Sunnyvale, CA
This was the first supermarket in the United States built to LEED WELL environmental health specifications. Only materials approved by LEED WELL could be used in the installation. Key was able to utilize our vast supplier network to satisfy these requirements.
The refrigeration system at this store is one of the most modern, efficient and environmentally friendly designs in the country. The store has a Hillphoenix CO2 rack, two BAC Trillium gas coolers and Micro Thermo controls in addition to many other modern pieces of equipment.
During this project, the COVID-19 ‘shelter in place’ orders took effect in California. Key overcame this unprecedented challenge to coordinate the successful completion of this state of the art store all while ensuring the health and safety of our technicians.
